This 5 minute plenary will help your class reflect on their learning after the chat. The question prompts are designed to facilitate discussion among your class.

There are 3 sets of questions. Choose the section that you would like to explore: Careers understanding, Communication skills, or STEM knowledge.

Discussion for all sections	HOW MANY DO?
Do you feel like you had anything in common with any of the researchers?
Option 1: Careers understanding questions	HOW MANY DO/DID/ARE?
Did you discover a new career using research that you hadn’t heard of before?
Are you now more interested in a career using research than before our chat?
Do you feel clearer on the qualifications you need to go into a STEM career?
If you had to describe one of the researchers’ jobs to a friend, how would you?	DISCUSSION POINT
Option 2: Communication skills questions	HOW MANY DO/DID?
Do you feel more confident asking questions to researchers than you did before our chat?
Do you feel that the researchers were interested in your questions?
Do you feel that you had a conversation with an researchers involving more than 1 question?
Did you discuss an answer that you received with someone else in the class?
